‘Mass Effect Andromeda’ Multiplayer Not Coming, Confirmed; Collector’s Edition System Requirements Reveal Intel Core i7-4790, 8-16GB RAM, 55GB D-Space Components Needed

"Mass Effect Andromeda" took a turn for the unexpected as the developers decided against a multiplayer tech test for the highly anticipated open world game. Apparently, BioWare is yet to give fans an explanation for their decision. In the meantime, a March 21 release is expected for the action RPG.

Last Year's Announcement Now Cancelled

Rumors have been circulating that the "Mass Effect Andromeda" developers were planning a multiplayer beta this year as was announced last year. Fans have been awaiting the date of the multiplayer beta ever since with many signing up as soon as a registration was made available, CogConnected reported. In addition, gamers also showed interest in how the multiplayer mode would deliver its rewards to the single player.

However, in the recent blog post for "Mass Effect Andromeda," the developers revealed that there will no longer be a multiplayer tech test for players at home. It should be noted however that a live multiplayer taking place in room 2AB at the PAX East 2017. Apparently, the only samplings of the game may be available via an EA Early Access or Origin. The gaming community has also noted that the announcement may be too casual with fans left to speculate why the test was canceled so abruptly.

Collector's Edition Launching Soon, System Requirements Revealed

In other news, fans are gearing up for the imminent release of "Mass Effect Andromeda" which is said to roll out with a Collector's Edition. Game is currently offering a vanilla copy of the game for £50  but for an extra £5, gamers may pick up an edition complete with a die-cast miniature replica Nomad ND1 buggy. Gamers who opt to get a remote-controlled version of the buggy along with a SteelBook edition of the game may do so for only £250, Expert Reviews UK reported.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" gamers are recommended to have Intel Core i7-4790 / AMD FX-8350 on their PCs but an Intel Core i5 with an AMD FX-6350 would be the minimum requirements. At least 8-16GB RAM is necessary to run the game and 55GB drive space. Take note that the latest versions of Windows may be needed to run the game such as Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 and at least DirectX 11. In the meantime, take a look at the multiplayer breakdown below:
