"Mario Kart 8", the kart racer game is the next that is going into the Nintendo Switch upgrade. With the new switch, the game will come with a bounty of new contents and features, exclusively for the Switch. The Wii U game players can avail of the upgrade, if they wish to and they will have all the reasons to celebrate with the new characters coming up.

The trailer, which was just released by Nintendo for "Mario Kart 8" brings in the Mario favorites including the two kids or squids from the Splatoon game, Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy as reported by Polygon. Joining them are King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr, making the number of 42 racers all in all. The Splatoon characters also have their own game karts, hence the game players will have more karts available for them.

Regarding the gameplay, "Mario Kart 8" offers a play anytime, anywhere for a group of 4-player on a multiplayer mode. Hence friends can just race with their friends together or fight them both on the new and the old battle courses. According to Nintendo, the Switch upgrade will still offer the Wii U version track and the DLC.

"Mario Kart 8" on the Switch will feature the new Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium. Meanwhile, the returning battle versions are GCN Luigi's Mansion and SNES Battle Course 1, including the original Renegade Roundup. There is also the 8-course DeLuxe Battle mode to the veteran players.
