PS4 update 4.50 has been released in China. However, it appears that the console users in Europe, North America and the UK will not have the new firmware update.
PS4 4.50 Update Brings New Features And Improvements
The new PS4 4.50 update launched last March 7 in China brings different new features and security enhancement, including improved operability. According to reports, the upgrade will allow the users to use the USB storage device to install an application or transfer the application from the PS4 host memory.
However, there are some conditions for those USB storage devices that can be used. For instance, USB 3.0 or higher needs a minimum capacity of 250GB and a maximum capacity of 8TB, including an external hard drive.
PS4 upgrade also makes the shortcut menu much easier to use, as the party function has become more convenient for the users. In addition, chatting with microphone while in the game or party via the device's microphone will now be allowed when using the remote control function on a Mac, Xperia Tablet, a Windows PC or Xperia Smartphone. Furthermore, there is also an improvement in the theater-mode image quality on PSVR, PSU reported.
PS4, PS3 And Vita Weekly Deals Have Been Released
The next PlayStation Store deals for PS4, PS3 and Vita are now live, and there is a single-themed sale for the week, which focuses on "Call of Duty". According to reports, PlayStation Plus members on PS4 may get "Infinite Warfare" for $40, "Infinite Warfare's Legacy Edition" with "Modern Warfare Remastered" for $54, or the "Black Ops III's" Gold Edition for $35.
PS4 users with no Plus, meantime, can have "Daylight" for $4 or the "Homefront: The Revolution" for $25.
