Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2's first DLC, Revelations, was announced about two weeks ago, and gamers were excited to hear it would star Alucard. The son of Dracula and lead character from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night will be the playable character in Revelations, and Konami has now released a trailer showing it off for the first time.
The Revelations DLC takes place before the events in the main game, Lords of Shadow 2, as a precursor to the story that unfolds. Alucard readies for his father's return and forthcoming battle against Satan, but both the character and player will learn how the vampire's fate is tied to that of his father's as the story unfolds.
Alucard has his own unique abilities, including the use of the Glaciem and Igneas powers, as well as vampiric shape-shifting abilities. He can turn into a wolf and a swarm of bats, as well as turn back time. Drinking blood increases Alucard's powers as well, and all of this is on display in the new trailer below.
The new content in Revelations will reportedly take four to five hours to complete, according to a question answered by one of the game's developers on Twitter.
Lords of Shadow 2 is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC. It was met with average reception upon release, with critics mainly citing a poor story and messy structure. Revelations will be out March 25 for all platforms, and Konami has announced a price of $7.99 for the DLC.
