Another day at E3 means another big day for Mortal Kombat X. We got a close look at two of the game's new "kharacters" yesterday, but just as we thought we had 'em figured out, NeatherRealms Studios head Ed Boon took to the show floor to introduce two other new kombatants, as well as shed some light on the previously revealed D'Vorah and Torr/Ferra.
During Sony's press conference at this year's E3, we learned that there were plans to release a special PS4 bundle consisting of Bungies' Destiny, and a pristine PlayStation 4 all wrapped in glacial white. The announcement had only bare bones info on the bundle, but now, we have all the information you could ever want.
Mortal Kombat X had a phenomenal gameplay demo shown during Sony's E3 2014 presser last night, and, just as NeatherRealms boss Ed Boon promised, two brand spankin' new characters were unveiled. While they were unknown at the time, their identities have finally been revealed.
We already knew that Disney Infinity is getting a whole bunch of Marvel characters when the game relaunches as Disney Infinity 2.0 this Fall, but now Marvel has revealed a new play set that'll bring other Marvel-verse notables into the fold. Nintendo also went heavy with Disney Infinity during its E3 digital presentation, showing off the Avengers Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and the villainous Loki, as well as offered a peek at Diseny's Maleficent and Merida.
E3 is in full swing, and while a lot of attention is given to the big boys like Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, the smaller guys have their own big news. Case in point Bossa Studios, of Surgeon Simulator fame, revealed they are bringing their bloody hit of a game over to consoles for the first time, but only one -- the PlayStation 4.
Nintendo started the second day of E3 2014 off with a bang, showing off a bevy of projects that 3DS and Wii U owners have to look forward to in the months to come. Among them was the team up between Nintendo and Tecmo, the Dynasty Warriors styled Hyrule Warriors, for which Nintendo announced that Impa of Twilight Princess and the titular princess herself would be joining the game as the third and fourth playable characters.
Of Sony's many big showings during the first day of E3 2014, one that really got the crowd going above all others, dare I say, of all of this year's E3, was the first look at the gameplay of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight. Once again, the batmobile was the star of the show.
As Activision chose to announced the next Call of Duty game long before E3, that doesn't mean the publisher is down and out. We recently learned of the company's plan to add an incentive for players to pre-order Advanced Warfare, announcing two bonuses for early birds.
Not that I'm incredibly biased, but Sony won E3 2014 solely because they had the good fortune of showing gameplay footage for NeatherRealm Studio's Mortal Kombat X. If you thought the game's reveal trailer was something, well, buckle up spanky, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Thought Dying Light was the only FPS zombie title on the way? Think again. Sony closed out day one of this year's E3 with some pretty drastic news, and while developer Deep Silver' announcements may not have led things off, its reveal of Dead Island 2 did not go unnoticed.
Sony's up to bat to close out the first day of E3, and in case you weren't happy with Tyri...pardon me, Peter Dinklage narrating a bit of Bungie's Destiny, then maybe you'll find this interesting. In addition to announcing a PS4 exclusive beta, gamers will also have the option of a new PS4 bundle, featuring a shiny white PlayStation 4.
Big sports day for Electronic Arts. In addition to EA Sports UFC and FIFA, arguably the publisher's bread and butter was also on hand at this year's E3 -- Madden NFL 15. It was only last week that we got our first peek at the game in action, but now we have a much better look at the title, due out this fall.
Microsoft opened up E3 this afternoon, followed up by EA, but Ubisoft is up to bat while you read this. They started things off strong with the first official look at Far Cry 4.
Microsoft's E3 2014 time is behind us, and now it's publishing giant Electronic Arts' turn. In addition to new games for popular series like Dragon Age and The Sims, EA didn't leave its trademark sports games out in the cold, opening up things with a closer look at the brutal hits of EA Sports UFC.
E3 is in full swing with Microsoft at the helm, but all manner of things are still sneaking in under the radar. Of course, Metal Gear Solid producer Konami is all about sneaky, so keeping with that theme, the company has let loose with the first trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
