Daylight PS4 Release Date Delayed Till End of April, Price Revealed: New Trailer Shows Terrifying Final Hospital Area [VIDEO]

Daylight Has Been Delayed Till the End of April To Make It Scarier

ATLUS has sadly announced that their upcoming horror game Daylight is going to be delayed for both PS4 and PC, for several weeks. The game's new release date is now April 29. The reasons for the delay are good ones, though- they're using the time to optimize how scary the game is. The game is proceduraly generated, which means that the terrifying game world - full of hospitals and sewers and forests- will change every time you play it in order to encourage multiple playthroughs, which is certainly an awesome feature but must be a nightmare to program.

ATLUS has also confirmed a final price of $11.99 for Daylight, although PS Plus subscribers will be able to get it for $9.99 for two weeks after launch and they're offering a PC preorder for the same price. They also sent along the new trailer below that shows off the final area in the game, a remixed version of the hospital you wake up in.

Daylight certainly has the potential to scare us in terrifying new ways, including Oculus Rift support and clever Twitch chat implementation that lets viewers of your channel actually control what happens to your game. Certain keywords, when typed in the chat of your feed, will trigger in-game events. The one that the developers have teased us with is "meow", which when typed will cause a cat to screech in the game. There will be a whole list of words that trigger events to take place but they're not going to tell us what they are, and they're thankfully set on timers so someone can't just spam you with key words and ruin your experience.

How many times will you want to play through it if it's as scary as they say? We'll find out when Daylight hits PS4 and PC on April 29th.
