'Cyberpunk 2077' Mod Brings Adaptive Triggers To The DualSense Controller On PC

This 'Cyberpunk 2077' Mod Brings The PS5 DualSense Controller ALIVE On PC

A "Cyberpunk 2077" mod brings one of the best things about this gaming generation's hardware -- the adaptive triggers of the PS5's DualSense -- to PC players using the controller on their rigs.

According to WCCFTech, the aforementioned mod introduces unofficial support for the adaptive triggers feature for anyone using the DualSense on the PC version of "Cyberpunk." But while that is possible, it does have a few compromises like burst-fire weapons not meshing with the mod correctly.

Nevertheless, the mod is now live on NexusMods and is available to download and install. The mod's description introduces custom trigger settings for over 40 in-game weapons alongside vehicles. That's all to make "Cyberpunk 2077" on PC feel far more immersive with advanced haptic feedback-something only PS5 owners have been experiencing so far.

How To Install The Mod

Before you download and install the mod, be warned that some functions might not work if you're using another controller emulation software like DS4Windows. Also, you'll need two pieces of integral software: DualSenseX, which will help you set the controller up using a dedicated settings window, and the ViGEmBus driver to allow for controller emulation.

Aside from that, you'll also need to install the latest version of Cyber Engine Tweaks to ensure that the mod will work right. After doing all of that, you can now move the mod's bin folder from the downloaded archive (in this case, it's a .zip format) to the root folder within your main "Cyberpunk 2077" install folder.

If, for some reason, you don't like the mod anymore, uninstalling it is as simple as deleting the mod folder. You can find the folder using this path:

Cyberpunk2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\DualsenseTriggerEffects

Why The DualSense Could Be The Most 'Next-Gen' Way To Play 'Cyberpunk 2077' On PC

There's a reason why the DualSense controller was hailed as among the best things about Sony's current-gen console. The controller's advanced haptic feedback really improves your overall immersion by simulating what specific in-game activities or things "feel."

In this case, the adaptive triggers will help you differentiate how every single gun handles. That's because not all guns have similar-feeling triggers. The DualSense's haptic feedback will help every weapon "feel" different from the other one by simulating how it feels to press the trigger on a full-auto rifle compared to a pistol.

Aside from that, this also works with traversing game worlds. For example, walking/riding on a paved road will feel different compared to traversing a dirt road, where there are a lot of bumps and uneven features. In the case of "Cyberpunk 2077," this could refer to things like driving on slippery, wet roads and dry roads, alongside weapon kickbacks and trigger feel.

Either way, this new "Cyberpunk 2077" mod is an amazing piece of work that PC players should try out. Combine this with other mods, and the game could be experienced in a whole new light.
