Instead of connecting challenges to your rank or your champion mastery, the new Challenges system will allow any player to complete specific tasks.

It is also quite different compared to the so-called Eternals system, which requires a subscription fee before gamers can get the offered rewards.

The new "League of Legends" Challenges system will be completely free to all Riot Games fans. Aside from this, it will also offer the existing challenge types in the Summoner's Rift, such as the following:

Imagination: Challenges that focus on unique objectives.

Veterancy: Challenges for veterans of the game who have posted.

Collection: Challenges related to collecting loot like champions, skins, and icons in-game.

Legacy: Limited-time Challenges that are not permanent.

Expertise: Challenges related to mastering a champion or role.

Teamwork and Strategy: Challenges that focus on working with your team.

NME reported that once the new progression system is launched, there will be additional 300 missions, as well as 2,700 earnable tokens and hundreds of titles.

Toughest Challenges You Can Expect

Unlike the current missions in the Summoner's Rift, most of the new challenges that will arrive on Mar. 11 are expected to be difficult. Some critics even said that gamers would need to have five-man-teams if they want to complete them:

Immortal Demon King

A challenge that requires players to have no deaths in a match.

Me Vs. the World

This mission needs you to cover 40% of the total damage dealt by your team against enemy heroes.

Fast Vistory

Fast Victory is another hard mission. It requires gamers to finish a game within 10 minutes.

In This Jungle

This one needs gamers to kill more neutral creeps in the jungle. The enemy minions you killed need to be lower to make it more difficult.
