The newest "Pokemon TCG: Sword & Shield Astral Radiance" set has finally arrived in some retailers worldwide.

According to a report by Bleeding Cool on Friday, May 27, the newly-launched Pokemon set for the trading card platform is now up for grabs in select retailers worldwide.

As expected, this particular set will tour you to the historic time of ancient Pokemon and their forms. Through time and space, you can receive special legendary cards, Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR and Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR.

Aside from that, you will feel a strong Hisuian vibe in this lineup. The expansion brings many new Pokemon variants such as Hisuian Samurott, Hisuian Decidueye, Hisuian Typhlosion, and more Hisuian Pokemon VSTAR cards.

The new "Pokemon TCG: Sword & Shield Astral Radiance" expansion has some special inclusions that you need to know. The most notable addition is the arrival of the Radiant Pokemon which is quite comparable to the Shining Pokemon cards.

The new set features more than 180 cards along with the three new Radiant Pokemon. Other than that, you can obtain eight Pokemon VSTAR, two Pokemon VMAX, and 21 Pokemon V.

What Are Radiant Pokemon Cards

According to My Nintendo News, there's a new gameplay mechanic for the "Sword & Shield: Astral Radiance." The gaming publication writes that the arrival of the Radiant Pokemon will be the next metagame for the trading card community.

As said earlier, they're like Shiny Pokemon, but with many powerful abilities that you can use to defeat your opponents. Interestingly, this is the only set that features this new gimmick.

The difference between Radiant and Shining cards is the change in the text box. There's also a noticeable holo pattern where the text box lies. You can see it on the card's surface.

Indeed, this is a fresh environment for the avid card collectors, especially with the debut of Character Super Rares and Alternate Arts.
