PlayStation Lifestyle shared the patch notes for AC Valhalla update 1.6.0, and here are some of the change and fixes to main quests, world events, and side quests it brings:

MAIN QUESTS, WORLD EVENTS, AND SIDE ACTIVITIES

  • Cannot complete the quest Wedding Horns, as Rued spawns in dead.

WORLD

  • Reda only offers one daily contract instead of two.

MASTERY CHALLENGE

  • Anderitum Hideout Raven Challenge: Addressed the persisting issue that prevents the looting of the key from Destroyer if the player has already acquired it without unlocking the door.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • When using Dual Spears the light combo finisher attack doesn't work as intended.

  • When using the Algurnir Dane Axe, perks from other Bows and Gear will not activate.

  • Twilight pack shows as available for purchase when it is owned on Xbox and PC platforms.

  • Discounts for owning gear from a pack in the animus store isn't consistent.

  • The VFX from the Blood Elf Eye-Wrap gear can be seen during some cutscenes.

  • Selecting "Sell all trinkets" at a store will sell trade goods as well.

UI/HUD

  • Button prompts in pop-up messages in the store do not align correctly with the pop-up box.

  • Incorrect thumbnail for Edward Kenway's outfit in the Inventory screen.

Aside from these bug fixes, the Assassin's Creed Valhalla update also brings the free game mode The Forgotten Saga and the Sigrblot Festival. Forgotten Saga is a roguelite inspired game mode where players get to fight against the hordes of Hel. Here's a trailer for it:

The Sigrblot Festival, on the other hand, is just an in-game event running from August 4th-25th where a few festival-exclusive rewards are up for grabs.

When Will Assassin's Creed Valhalla Support Stop?

AC Valhalla was released way back in 2020, and it has gotten a ton of extra content since. There's been three big DLC expansions (Wrath Of The Druids, Siege Of Paris, and Dawn Of Ragnarok), as well as a constant slew of limited-time in-game events like Sigrblot. But all things must come to an end, and it's good that Ubisoft knows that.

After the release of Dawn Of Ragnarok, Ubisoft has announced that players will get one last free DLC to close out the story of Eivor. Then, official support for the game will end at the end of 2022, as reported by PCGamesN.  By the time the free DLC drops, it would've been roughly two years' worth of constant AC Valhalla updates.

Ubi basically tried the games-as-a-service route a-la Destiny with every new Assassin's Creed Valhalla update. Consider it as a sort of test-run before they finally launch Infinity, which is confirmed to be a live service platform that will feature "multiple time periods." It is not known how exactly the platform will work, but its release is still years away - around 2024 at least, according to several sources.
