Diablo IV's Season of the Construct introduced a lot of new things to Blizzard's ARPG, including a new companion called the Seneschal Construct. On paper, the Seneschal Construct looks to be something that players would want to get their hands on ASAP. That is because of its damage and healing capabilities, which can be helpful throughout the player's journey.

However, the said companion is quite underwhelming, with some players clamoring for Blizzard to buff it up in some way. The good news is that Blizzard has finally addressed these issues by releasing Patch 1.3.1, now live on all platforms.

A Force to Be Reckoned With

Patch 1.3.1 has brought some significant improvements to the Seneschal Construct. Its damaging abilities, such as Gyrate, Pummel, and Impale, have their damage increased by 30%. Bushwhack, Focus Fire, and Lightning Bolt also received a 20% damage buff.

In addition, the companion's Reconstruct ability now has its healing power increased from 22% to 32% of the player's maximum life at level 1. This is improved to 50% once the Seneschal Construct reaches level 10.

Gold Animation Bug

While Patch 1.3.1 has a lot to offer, it seems that it also introduced a new bug that has annoyed many Diablo IV players. Some players have shared on Reddit that the new gold coin animation is quite troublesome as it covers the entire screen.

Redditor CaptainMacaroni said that the animation that occurs when monsters drop gold coins has resulted in huge lag spikes.

This new gold animation is probably a way for Blizzard to make the upcoming Lunar Awakening event look more flashy than it needs to be.

With so many players complaining about it, hopefully, the company is going to do something to rectify the problem.
