The patch notes come ahead of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 launching on Wednesday, Apr. 3, 2024. The developers recently revealed all of the skins and other items that will be coming in the Season 3 battle pass.

The instant unlocks feature two new operators, Snoop Dogg 2 and Makarov, and the season's final two skins are unlocked in the last tier and are Fenrir, which gives Makarov a wolfman appearance, and Hush, another new operator who is seen with a tactical outfit, according to GameRant.

On top of the two top-tier skins, the latest Battle Pass will include a variety of new skins and weapon blueprints. The latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also make changes to a variety of weapons and items. These include the VFX when players use Modern Warfare 2 weapons. It has been adjusted to match the effects seen when using Modern Warfare 3 weapons.

The variance from ADS idle sway will also be removed for all weapons in the game and every gun will have the same ADS idle sway motion curve. This should make this aspect of aiming more consistent and predictable for players.

In terms of weapon balancing, the Season 3 update will change a total of 24 guns, including nerfs to the MCW, BAS-B, Rival-9, and Striker-9. On the other hand, there will be buffs to the Sidewinder, RAM-9, AMR9, and Bruen Mk9, among others.

New Changes, Improvements, and Content

There will also be new modes added to the game, including Capture the Flag and One in the Chamber. The weapons that can be unlocked in the Season 3 Battle Pass include the MORS sniper rifle and BAL-27 assault rifle from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare which was released in 2014, said IGN.

The update will add eight new aftermarket parts, two new equipment items, new perks, and new events with limited-time rewards. With Zombies, the update will add a new story mission, known as Dark Aether Rift, and a set of schematics coming in-season.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 will introduce a total of six 6v6 Multiplayer maps to the game. Three of these are brand new locales and layouts and the other three are new but provide players with familiar experiences.

Players who are fans of the Underkill wildcard seen in previous Call of Duty titles will surely love the new item, the Gunslinger Vest. It lets you restrict yourself to secondary weapons, such as handguns, launchers, and melee weapons. Additionally, Conversion Kits that modify a secondary weapon to behave similarly to a primary can still be used with the new item, according to The Gamer.
