How to Get the Poisoner's Robe

The journey to obtain the Poisoner's Robe begins in Blighted Village during Act 1 of Baldur's Gate 3. Located between Emerald Grove and the Goblin Camp, Blighted Village is infested with followers of the Absolute. Upon entering the village, players are faced with a choice: engage in combat or navigate the area cautiously.

Upon entering Blighted Village, head towards the center and locate a well next to the Waypoint. Interact with the well to trigger an investigation check, which requires a roll of 10 or higher to pass. Success reveals a faint light emanating from the depths of the well, prompting players to descend into the underground cave below.

As players explore the cave, they encounter formidable foes such as giant spiders. Before delving too deeply, players can find the Spiderstep Boots in a chest in the first room to the left. These boots provide immunity to webbing and enhance mobility on web-covered surfaces.

Options for Advancement

Players have two primary options to progress further into the cave and acquire the Poisoner's Robe. The first option involves utilizing high stealth companions to sneak past enemies and pilfer the robe from the Phase Spider Matriarch, located at the rear of the cave. Alternatively, players can engage in combat, strategically navigating through the cave's challenges to confront the Phase Spider Matriarch directly.

Defeating the Phase Spider Matriarch

The Phase Spider Matriarch poses a formidable challenge, utilizing teleportation, poison attacks, and summoning additional enemies. To gain the upper hand, players should prioritize destroying the egg clusters scattered throughout the room to prevent reinforcements.

During the battle, leveraging ranged attacks to destroy web bridges can deal significant damage to spiders and disrupt their movements. Utilizing environmental hazards and exploiting enemy weaknesses are key strategies for emerging victorious against the Phase Spider Matriarch.

The Rewards of Victory

Upon defeating the Phase Spider Matriarch, players can loot the Poisoner's Robe, a valuable addition to their inventory. The Poisoner's Robe boasts an Armor Class (AC) of 10 and grants the wearer the ability Poison Trails, enhancing poison spell damage by one to four points.
