Leaked Details Spark Speculation

The rumor mill kicked into high gear when a well-known leaker, j0nathan, hinted at Murphy's involvement in the next installment of Ubisoft's popular open-world franchise. Known for accurate leaks in the past, j0nathan posted a cryptic tweet featuring Murphy alongside suggestive imagery including dynamite with a 72-hour countdown, a crab, and the number "7."

Rumors Tie into Previous Game Speculation

This speculation aligns with earlier rumors about Far Cry 7, code-named Project Blackbird, which hinted at a non-linear storyline revolving around a family kidnapping that must be resolved within a strict in-game time limit of 72 hours, equivalent to 24 hours in real-time.

Ubisoft Yet to Confirm

However, it's important to note that Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the existence of Far Cry 7, let alone any casting decisions. When pressed for clarification, j0nathan's response of "It's heating up" only added fuel to the speculative fire. Alongside Far Cry 7, Ubisoft is rumored to be developing a standalone multiplayer experience within the Far Cry game, adding further excitement to the franchise's future.
