Meet Ajay Ghale, The Man You'll Be Playing As In Far Cry 4

Following Far Cry 4's impressive E3 debut, Ubisoft has revealed the previously unseen player character for the title.

The developer revealed the protagonist, Ajay Ghale, in a tweet along with some background information. Ghale is a native of the Kyrat region where the game takes place, a "devoted son", and Pagan Min's "guest of honor".

Min is the character seen on the game's cover and appeared in the first trailer, which was footage of the opening five minutes of Far Cry 4. The violent, seemingly unhinged Min commands the region of Kyrat, but was surprisingly expecting the arrival Ghale and receives him pleasantly, despite his aggressive introduction.

It's unclear what exactly the dynamic between the two is given Min's positive reception of Ghale amidst the violence, even pausing to take a selfie aside a few dead bodies, naturally. Ubisoft's description of Ghale as a "devoted son" makes you wonder if he's possibly Min's son, though that doesn't seem to be hinted at in their conversation from the trailer.

Make no mistake though--Min is meant to be the villain in the title, and Ubisoft calls him as such in the title of his reveal trailer. You can watch his introduction, and first interaction with Ghale, in that trailer, below. You can get brief glimpse of Ghale when Min snaps his photo, but the image above is the first full look at the character you'll be controlling.
