SDCC 2014 ‘Battlefield Hardline’ Panel Announced: Big Reveals For ‘Bad Boys 2’ Inspired Shooter Expected

Join Steve Papoutsis At SDCC 2014 At The Newly Announced Battlefield Hardline Panel

Visceral Games and its VP Steve Papoutsis will be present at San Diego Comic Con this summer with an appropriately named panel: "Battlefield Hardline: A Visceral World of Crime and Revenge".

Battlefield Hardline Community's Most Wanted List Of Demands Based On Beta

Battlefield Hardline will be a crime-TV inspired action game focusing on a new vision of the single player experience of the Battlefield world. This will be the general gist of the SDCC panel, where Visceral has promised several members of the Battlefield Hardline cast and crew will be in attendance. Earlier this week, Papoutsis (@levelupguy) took to Twitter to answer some pressing fan questions. You can read a majority of them at the Battlefield blog, but here are some interesting revelations.

Probably the biggest question is why Hardline should justify a new game entirely at a (probably) $60+ cost, rather than just being a Battlefield 4 update. Papoutsis answers (or rather lists): "New MP modes/maps, new vehicles, new animations, new VO/music, new progression, new gameplay, new models, new weapons, and a new development team that's been pouring their hearts and souls into this game for the last two years." Now now Steve, I'm sure people who work on Battlefield 4 updates also pour their hearts and souls into their work.

Battlefield Hardline Statistics Show 12.8 Million Vehicles Destroyed, Trillions Stolen In Beta Alone

Most awesomely, someone asks what's up with the police in Hardline being issued rocket launchers, to which Papoutsis replies jokingly "Have you seen Bad Boys 2? ;-)". Yeah yeah, there's stuff in there about levolution playing a big part and loadout pre-sets being supported, but come on... a Bad Boys 2-style Battlefield game. What more do you need?
