‘The Sims 4’ Paid Premium Membership Revealed, Still No Pools Or Toddlers

There Will Be A Paid Subscription Version Of ‘The Sims 4’

Sims fansite SimGoodie.com has analyzed the latest Sims 4 walkthrough tailer from EA and found that the upcoming EA title will have a paid subscription model for those who wish it.

E3 Trailer Shows Off Big Sims Personalities

The screenshot from the trailer unveils the paid subscription would allow early access to content to subscribers, and apparently also include exclusive items. The proposed early access pack we are privy to in the screenshot includes a happy time camping set, a spooky Halloween boostravaganza, and a St. Sylvester's end-of-year Dick Clark blow-out.

Now, this would basically make The Sims 4 a bit like Battlefield - there's no subscription needed, but the really competitive (or obsessive, if you will) amongst players might want that extra edge when it comes to interior decoration.

Create-A-Sim Lets You Go All Out On Character Creation

Sims fans out there! What's the deal? I know my sister had a whoooole lot of Sims 2 expansion discs back in the day, and she might as well have paid a monthly fee for all the money she was pumping into it, but there's no competitive edge (or even multiplayer) to this game, right? The subscription is purely for new doo-dads? Not judging, just asking!

The Sims 4 will drop this fall on PC, and on Mac some time later.
