PlayStation 4 Teaser Rumored To Be For 'Until Dawn': Gamescom Trailer Offers 15 Seconds Of Old School Slasher Horror [VIDEO]

The Rumored 'Until Dawn' Teaser Is All Sorts Of Unsettling; New Information On Horror Game Comes To Light

Sony just released a very mysterious 15-second teaser on YouTube, and it is sure to send shivers down your spine.

FISH. PLAYS. POKEMON!

The untitled teaser, which simply shows an axe embedding itself in a log, is rumored to be advertising horror title Until Dawn. The game was announced back in 2012 for the PS3 by developer Supermassive Games but after a gamescom trailer, there was no further word on its development cycle.

Until Dawn is a horror game inspired by the classic slashers of the 1970s and 80s. On the anniversary of their friend's disappearance, a group of teenagers return to the site to finally put some closure to their long lost friend. Little do they know that they are being hunted by a deranged serial killer. The power is out and, obviously, cell phones don't work. One suspects that the 'friend' may not be so missing after all.

Nosgoth Beta And Free Double XP Weekend

The game was scheduled to use the Playstation Move controller which would allow players to wield it as the in-game flashlight. You'll play through the game as different characters, sometimes alone, sometimes together in hopes of finding out what's really happening and attempting to survive until dawn.

From the official site: "It's Teen Horror so obviously it's isolated, the power's out and the phones don't work! You'll play through the story as multiple characters, sometimes with a friend and sometimes on your own to discover who it is that's intent on killing off you and your friends. It's up to you how you play, so we don't know how your story will go or who'll be there with you at the end."

Sounds fantastic. The hashtag #PlayStationGC is part of the teaser, no doubt alluding to the upcoming gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Seems fitting that Supermassive would give an update there. It's where they debuted the original teaser. No word if this will still only be coming for the PS3 or if it will be getting a next gen upgrade to the PS4. Stay tuned for gamescom to find out more.
