PAX Prime News: Kingdom Hearts, Lara Croft, Hitman Among Square Enix PAX Lineup

Square Enix Bringing Playable Demos Of Kingdom Hearts, Lara Croft, Hitman, And Others To PAX Prime

Publisher Square Enix has a fair number of titles releasing between now and year's end, and they've announced that they're bringing a whole team of the latest installments of their best-known franchises out to the PAX floor next weekend.

Square Enix News From SDCC

Games like Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, 3DS title Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call, and mobile games Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest VIII will be out on the convention floor to play this year. Also making an appearance is Nosgoth, a free-to-play multiplayer PC game from the Legacy of Kain series that's currently in a closed beta.

This year at PAX, though, Square Enix's spotlight is on the competitive mobile title Hitman: Sniper, the game that asks if you're the deadliest assassin in the world – or at least the deadliest one among your friends. Throughout the weekend, the Square Enix booth will hold hourly tournaments for Hitman: Sniper, and at the end of each of the four days, the overall high-scoring assassin will have their score integrated into the final game. Further, Square Enix Montréal will be hosting a Hitman: Sniper community event at the Seattle Hard Rock Café after the convention closes its doors on the first day. On Friday from 8-11 p.m., another tournament will be held at this get-together, and the Grand Prize winner for the community event will earn the honor of being put into the mobile title as a target for Agent 47.
