New Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Trailer Shows Off Added Bosses, Cutscenes And Items

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Gets A New Trailer Ahead Of Its Hands-On PAX Appearance

Lots of new content has been added to Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep since their original releases, and Square Enix is showing off just how much new content there is in a new trailer, released just one day before the game comes to PAX Prime with a playable demo.

Square Enix Brings Lara Croft, Kingdom Hearts And Hitman To PAX Prime 2014

The PS3-exclusive game combines the Final Mix editions of both games, which add several bosses, cutscenes, levels and items to the original games. Added boss battles include a duel against Roxas and another against Lingering Will in Kingdom Hearts II and three more epic fights in Birth By Sleep, one of which is a battle against Monstro, the giant whale best known for swallowing Pinocchio back in 1940.

Also added were several new cutscenes that provide more depth to Kingdom Hearts II's already impressive canon. New levels also give the player more story background, this time with the added bonus of more gameplay time for both games. And while series fans are playing through these new levels, they'll have more than 40 new items to discover and use, including at least three new keyblades across the two games. Of course, the trailer includes plenty of what made the series so popular in the first place: Final Fantasy-inspired gameplay with characters and worlds right out of Disney's impressive catalog.

Kingdom Hearts III Gets A Gameplay Trailer

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX puts the two games along with three hours of cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded all on one disc. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series who can't wait to relive the adventures or a newcomer who is interested in seeing what all the fuss is about, this new trailer should give you a good idea of what to expect once the game hits North American PlayStation 3s in December.
