What Time Is It? Time For New Screens From Adventure Time: Secret Of The Nameless Kingdom

A new collection of screenshots from the upcoming game Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom has come out that shows off Finn's sword skills, conversations between characters and the large cast of fan favorites that will be making appearances throughout the game.

Adventure Time Is Coming To GameStop Expo

Like the last time we got a glimpse of this upcoming game, these screens showcase the top-down, 16-bit art style of the adventure games of yore that Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is shooting for. Though the characters are all rendered in pixel-heavy styles on the gameplay screen, when they're brought forward for conversations between characters, they regain the simple and adorable art style of the Adventure Time cartoon.

These new pictures also show off several of the characters that will be making appearances in the game. Princess Bubblegum and Lumpy Space Princess are both featured in the artwork as well as more minor characters like Magic Man.

The screens also show off some of the new characters that are likely residents of this new Nameless Kingdom. It seems like this kingdom takes plenty of cues from the Candy Kingdom for the design of its inhabitants. Pillowmint Butler is a new take on Peppermint Butler, and sharp eyes can even make out the Nameless Kingdom's version of the Banana Guard.

Other than that, some of the other screens give a better sense of what gameplay will be like for adventuring as Finn. The player has access to a couple of different items that can be utilized alongside Finn's default sword. As one example, Finn seems to be able to use the character Flambo as an item to illuminate dark caverns, handy for a hero that explores abandoned temples and caves for fun.

In Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, Finn and Jake set off to rescue the three princess of the titular kingdom, then decide which of them should sit on the throne. The game is set to hit he Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam sometime in November.
