Dark Souls 2 Crown Of The Ivory King DLC Launch Trailer Out Now, A Bit Late But Should Entice Players To The Frigid North [VIDEO]

A Delayed And Snowy Launch Trailer For The Final Dark Souls II DLC The Crown Of The Ivory King

The final Dark Souls II DLC in the Lost Crowns trilogy, Crown of the Ivory King, has been out for a week now. But Bandai Namco isn't done with you yet. They just released an official post-launch trailer that should entice all of you to the frozen north, if you haven't done so already.

The only thing bigger than the dramatic opera intonations of the music is the Buster sword-esque weapon the heavily armored protagonist carries with him through the snowy ruins. It looks tortuous, so it's right in line with how the rest of the game works.

What are those things? How did a Bengal tiger get to be that big anyway? And in the frozen wastes no less. I guess the only thing to eat there is foolish adventurers who come ill prepared. Metal armor is just a poor choice, too much chance of freezing and seizing up when you least want it to.

Crown of the Ivory King has been well received thus far, with reviewers citing the clever level design and declaring it the best of the three DLC packs. As if this video wasn't exciting enough already.

Dark Souls II is out now on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. PC users can get the entire season pass, which includes the entire Lost Crowns trilogy via Steam purchase for $24.99 or each individual chapter for $9.99.
