New York Comic Con is set to begin tomorrow, with plenty for fans and enthusiasts to see and do. We'll be on hand to cover the big panels and booths in person and report back to you, dear readers, but we've also created some guides to provide an overview of what NYCC has to offer.

Video games don't make up the largest portion of the event, but there is still plenty to see on the topic starting tomorrow. You can follow all of GameNGuide's coverage and content at this page. World of Capcom: Thu. October 9, 4:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Room 1A06

The publisher will be on hand to show off a variety of titles including Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Resident Evil Revelations 2, the newly remastered version of the 2002 GameCube remake of Resident Evil, Dead Rising 3 for PC, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy and Ultra Street Fighter IV. There will also be some merchandise, and there is mention of "a prize or two".

Firefly Online - Bringing Back the Verse: Thu. October 9, 7:15 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Room 1A06

Developer Quantum Mechanix will be demonstrating Firefly Online, its "multi-user" online title based on Joss Whedon's cult-favorite show. The developers will show off how to find a ship, hire a crew, and reveal The Cortex, the new online community for FFO players. The demonstration will be followed by an open Q&A session.

Video Games and Education: Fri. October 10, 1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Room 1A05

This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there's plenty to explore about how video games can influence education. Classrooms around the country have experienced varying degrees of gamification, and there is a lot of potential in the area. New technology and games will continue to affect education, and representatives from game development and some local teachers are set to discuss the topic.

Bandai Namco: Fri. October 10, 2:00 p.m - 2:45 p.m. Room 1A10

Another major Japanese publisher is set to discuss two new entries in the Tales Of series. Tales of Zestiria Director Yuta Hase will reveal new information about his game, in addition to Tales of Hearts R, and prizes will be given out toward the end of the panel.

PS4 and Xbox One: One Year Later: Fri. October 10, 4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Room 1A21

Members of popular gaming website IGN are hosting a panel to discuss how the two consoles performed since launch roughly a year ago, and in what direction they each seem to be heading. Join Greg Miller, Colin Moriarity, Steve Butts, and Marty Silva as they dive in and analyze the success and failures of each system so far.

Dark Horse and Sega Present 35 Years of Alien: Fri. October 10, 6:15 PM - 7:00 p.m. Room 1A24

Everyone at least knows of the movie Alien, and those related to the franchise will be taking a look back at the property 35 years later. SEGA's Alien Isolation just launched, and will server as one of several talking points in this panel by Dark Horse Publicity Director Jeremy Atkins, Paul Tobin (Prometheus), Joshua Williamson (Predator), as well as other creatives behind recent releases such as Alien Isolation.

Resident Evil REturns: Fri. October 10, 7:15 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Room 1A24

While the remastering of the 2002 Gamecube remake of Resident Evil will have a share of Capcom's general presentation, there will be time devoted specifically to the game in this panel. The team will also discuss Resident Evil Revelations 2 with Producer Michiteru Okabe there to showcase the game and tell players what to expect.

Monster Hunter: Sat. October 11, 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. Room 1A24

Another series Capcom is including in its general event, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is also getting a specific time slot dedicated to it. Capcom staff members will show off game footage, discuss features, and hold a Q&A.

Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes: Sat. October 11, 3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Room 1A06

This panel will offer an inside look into the creation of the recently released Disney-Marvel title. Go behind-the-scenes with Marvel, Avalanche Studios, and Disney Interactive to hear how the game evolved and some stories related to its development.

Evolution of the Action-RPG Genre: Sat. October 11, 7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Room 1B03

A panel dedicated to the growth and changes of the ARPG genre, moderated by Garrett Fuller of MMORPG.com. Speakers include David Brevik (Visionary behind Diablo and Diablo II), James Schmalz (Co-Creator of the Unreal game series) and Andrew Krausnick (Lead Designer of Trove), who will discuss the genre's evolution and answer questions.

The Future of Video Games: Sat. October 11, 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. Room 1B03

As opposed to a look back, this panel will set its gaze on the future of the medium. Game designers will host a round-table discussion of how new technology and digital distribution will shape the future of gaming.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham: Sat. October 11, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Main Stage 1-D

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games present their newest Lego title featuring the Caped Crusader. You can find more info on the game (which will feature plenty of other heroes and characters) here, but the panel by members of the cast and staff will offer gameplay demonstration and reveals.

Street Fighter: Sun. October 12, 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. Room 1A10

Experts on the famous fighting series will discuss updates for Ultra Street Fighter IV and competing on the Capcom Pro Tour. Special Guest Joey Ansah--Writer, Director and Actor--of the smash hit Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist web series will also be present to discuss his work.

The Walking Dead: The Inside Scoop on Telltale's Video Game Franchise: Sun. October 12, 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM  Room 1A14

The narrative and choice-driven game series based on the super popular TV series has been a critical and commercial success for Telltale Games. IGN's Greg Miller will sit down with TWD creator Robert Kirkman and members of Telltale to discuss the series and its future.
