Assassin's Creed Rogue Story Trailer Confirms PC Version For Early 2015, Gives Players First Look At Returning Assassin Characters

Assassin's Creed Rogue Story Trailer Brings The Hype, Announces PC Version

The new Assassin's Creed Rogue story trailer gives fans their first good look at the return of Assassins Adéwalé and Achilles, and it also confirms the much-requested PC port for an early 2015 release.

The PC port has been suggested in leaks and hinted at by developers, but the confirmation of an official release date, however vague, should put the minds of console-less gamers at ease.

This new story trailer looks at protagonist Shay's life through the eyes of the Assassins. We meet another Assassin with Irish-sounding roots who looks to be a good friend to Shay, and a female Assassin character is introduced as well. With such solid friends in the Brotherhood, Shay's desertion into the Templar ranks will be that much more of a poignant plot point.

Series fans are also treated to extended looks at Assassin characters who have played significant roles earlier in the franchise. Adéwalé, a supporting character in Black Flag and star of the Freedom Cry DLC, returns to the series as an old man, and Assassin's Creed 3 Mentor Achilles Davenport is shown for the first time as a young man in the Brotherhood. Both of these characters were seen in quick glances in earlier trailers, but this video is the first time their voices are heard and their faces are so clearly shown.

As an added "blink and you miss it" reference, the trailer also has famed Templar and confirmed Rogue character Haytham Kenway mention a Colonel Monro as a Templar leader. This likely refers to George Monro, a British soldier made famous in the novel The Last of the Mohicans.

In Assassin's Creed Rogue, the player controls Shay Cormac, an Irish Assassin in America during the French and Indian War who leaves to join the Templar Order and spends the rest of his life hunting his former brothers.

Rogue will release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems on November 11, and will come to PC early next year.
