AT&T Opens Nexus 6 Preorders, 32 GB Model Available For On-Contract Price Of $250

AT&T Reveals Nexus 6 On-Contract Pricing As Preorders Go Live

One of the talking points with the rise of Google's new Nexus 6 was that it was priced similarly to its competitors, whereas previous Nexus phones were known for their low prices. Now, it looks like this trend is continuing with the phone's on-contract price.

AT&T's preorders for the Nexus 6 are now live on the company's website, and its on-contract price has been revealed to be $249.99 for the phone's 32 GB version. This actually puts the Nexus 6 on the cheaper end of the phablet market. Both of its primary, large-screen competitors – Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 and Apple's iPhone 6 Plus – start at $299, and the cheapest iPhone 6 Plus only comes with half as much storage space as the other two.

You can also choose to pre-purchase the phone off-contract through AT&T for $683. The phone starts for $649 on Google Play, but that store is frequently out of inventory.

Google Can't Keep The Nexus 6 On Its Digital Shelves, But It'll Try To Every Wednesday

Preordering through AT&T will mean your new phone will ship by November 18, according to the preorder page. T-Mobile and Sprint have also said that they will sell Google's phablet.

The Nexus 6 packs a nearly 6-inch display, larger than both of the other major phablets on the market. As one of the launch devices for Android 5.0 Lollipop, it will feature all of the benefits of Google's latest mobile operating system. Manufactured by Motorola, the Nexus 6 also has access to the phone maker's Turbo Charge technology, which advertises the ability to give a phone on a low battery eight more hours of life with only 15 minutes of charging.
