Twitch Confirms The Crazy Streaming Numbers For Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's First Week

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has had quite the opening week. Twitch has confirmed that the game now holds the 2014 record for the most streamed console game in its launch week, and the company has released some pretty impressive numbers to prove it.

After just one week of being on the market, more than 75,000 unique streamers had played Advanced Warfare live on Twitch. Their content was watched a total of 26 million times by around 6 million unique watchers. In all, more than 327 million minutes of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare gameplay was watched on Twitch in the game's launch week.

For those who don't want to do the math, that's more than 225,000 days – or 622 years – of collective stream time watched just in one week.

"The response from the global community to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been incredible, with millions of fans playing the new era of Call of Duty and even more watching the action unfold live on Twitch in its first week in the wild," said Michael Condrey, co-founder and studio head of Sledgehammer Games, in a release.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched early last week as a new evolution of the popular franchise. Though the official release date was on Tuesday, a Day Zero edition let preorderers boot up the game a full 24 hours in advance. For some, this means that they were able to play as early as Sunday night, thanks to all times being calculated based on the East Coast.

Advanced Warfare is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
