Far Cry 4 Updates: PC Patch 1.4.0 Fixes Black And Grey Screens As Patch 1.02 Fixes Co-op For PS4 And PS3

Both PlayStation And PC Players Have New Patches For Fry Cry 4

Ubisoft rolled a patch out for Far Cry 4 over the weekend that fixes some crashes and issues related to the game's much-advertised co-op mode, but it's only for PlayStation players for now. PC players, however, are getting a patch today that fixes their own "black screen" and "grey screen" issues.

The full patch notes for the 1.02 PlayStation update can be found over on the Ubisoft forums. Beyond fixing a handful of miscellaneous game crashes, the 1.02 update also cleans up the game's co-op, particularly concerning host migrations and joining an in-progress session. PS4 players should now find that they can set up a co-op session without worrying about hanging on the main menu.

For PC players, Ubisoft is rolling out the 1.4.0 patch today. The game should now be compatible with certain USB peripherals that had been giving PC players a "black screen" issue before. The "grey screen" issues that triggered after the Outpost Master Mission for some PC players should now be fixed as well. The patch notes for PC Patch 1.4.0 can be found over on the Ubisoft forums.

So far, it doesn't seem like Xbox owners have a similar patch to look forward to yet, though there is a Day One patch for the game that all players should download if they haven't already. It fixes a whole collection of small bugs and performance issues.

Far Cry 4 is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
