'Black Ops 2' Zombies for Wii U? Treyarch Hints at Nintendo Version

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be launched on November 13 for all platforms PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, however, the inclusion of Wii U was not mentioned though rumors are speculating that a version may hit the Nintendo console.

Developers Treyarch's head Mark Lamia in an interview reported in Nintendo World Report that, they have been working with Nintendo for their systems. Lamia's comment may have hinted at Wii U version of the Black Ops 2 sooner than expected.

"We're only talking about the other platforms at this time. But here's what I can tell you: Treyarch has a long tradition of working on the Nintendo platforms. A long tradition," said Lamia.

"We made the Wii versions of all our Call of Duty titles, we even made the GameCube version of Big Red One. And the Wii version of Spiderman Web of Shadows. We have a lot of experience on the Wii and on the Nintendo platforms. So yeah, we enjoy the Nintendo Wii. We enjoy working on that.," he further added.

Nintendo Wii versions of Treyarch's past Call of Duty tittles has been made and if not immediately, Treyarch may surely come out with Black Ops 2 in following their tradition with Nintendo.

"Nintendo has been promising that third party games would play a larger role in their library of offerings. There's not a bigger third party game than Call of Duty, and it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to assume that the franchise would continue to arrive on the new hardware. The real question is, what types of gameplay benefits Treyarch can concoct with the hardware they'll be afforded," writes Attack of the Fan Boy.

Nintendo has been facing financial crisis and a franchise for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 to come with a version of Wii U might benefit them to some extent.

Call of Duty: Black Ops, was one of the biggest action series in 2010 and Black Ops 2 is a sequel of the game and has been set in the near future in 2025. Players will get to experience black operations with the next evolution of the legendary Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Also coming will be the new addition of "Zombie Mode" to the COD.

Lamia commented on the COD's website that the Black Ops 2 will be their "most ambitious Zombies effort ever". According to a report by CVG, Treyarch will use improved multiplayer engine for zombies, handling "a co-op tally double that of Black Ops 1's."

The game developed by Treyarch studio is a sequel to the 2010 Black Ops, the seventh installment of the Call of Duty Series. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be launched on November 13 for all platforms PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
