Crytek Announces New Warface Maps, Snowy Co-Op Siberia Stage Coming To Free Shooter

Crytek's New Warface Maps Take Players To The Harsh Siberian Landscape

Crytek has announced three new maps coming to its free-to-play shooter Warface that thrust players into the freezing cold of Siberia.

Minecraft's 1.8.1 Update Is Now Live

Operation Cold Peak is a new co-op location where players have to survive not only the enemy, but the environment as well. Players must work together to climb up a mountain to reach their target: a stronghold located at the top. Players will climb the mountain over the course of three different maps, fighting through AI enemies all along the way.

Players will also have to keep on their feet when blizzards come through the harsh setting and force teams to alter their plans. The combination of powering through armed enemies and the unforgiving environment are set to make teamwork more important than ever in this Warface campaign.

Lego Batman 3 Is Coming To Mac Players At The End Of The Week

Warface is a free-to-play shooter that includes both co-op and competitive play. Players get to choose their class and pick their side as they either face off against the Blackwood army in co-op play or against other players in competitive game modes. All of the traditional shooter classes are accounted for, with players being able to take up the mantle of the Rifleman, Medic, Engineer or Sniper each time they play. The game originally released for the PC last year, but a port for the Xbox 360 came out back in April.
