New Friday The 13 Movie In 2015: Fuller Spills Beans On New Jason Storyline

Fuller Hints At Direction For New Friday The 13th Movie

Fans of Jason films were treated to more news on their favorite undead, co-ed hating slasher. A new Friday the 13th film was announced to be in the works some time ago but little has been heard of it. Brad Fuller finally broke the silence to let fans know what's going to be happening in the newest chapter, Dread Central reports.

The news is slightly confusing as to what the homicidal maniac will be up to in the coming 2015 film. "We did a reboot in 2009, and now in 2014 we are focusing on a different story to Jason. There won't be a continuation of the 2009 film nor a remake of the originals - just a different story," Fuller confirmed during an interview with Brazilian website, Omelete.

I'm not sure how a story in a running franchise can be not a remake or continuation of a preexisting story but Fuller attests that is what the new movie will be. Something totally new, but still involves the same character.

The movie was rebooted back in 2009 after a series of films that followed the original 1980s version (if you remember, the first Jason was actually his mother, like a reverse Psycho). The new movie will be made by Platinum Dunes and hopefully keep all the things we love about Jason. Rumor has it that David Bruckner will take the spot of director and the film is set to release November 13, 2015 but this is all unconfirmed and may very well change.
