Fans of the game who are stuck watching the championship on Twitch will still have a chance to see the game in action on the event's opening day.

Smite World Championship is the final showdown for the top Smite teams from across the globe. North America, Europe and China are solidly represented, as are Brazil and the Spanish-speaking portion of Latin America. The tournament's prize pool has been slowing building for months now, as proceeds from specially marked, in-game "Odyssey" item sales have all been funneled into the pot. Thanks to this crowd-funding approach to prizes, the Smite prize pool currently sits around $1.7 million, and there is still time to increase that amount.
