New Motion Comic For The Woman In Black 2 Reveals Title Character’s Origin Story

The follow up to 2012's hit The Woman in Black is coming to theatres next month. To get viewers amped for what will no doubt be a spooky, horror filled adventure, a new motion comic video has been released to give the some backstory on the mysterious story.

The motion comic gives viewers the backstory as to how the Woman in Black came to be. Your classic story of sibling betrayal. The short comic also goes over who she preys on. Spoiler alert, it's children. Don't be lulled into a false sense of safety and comfort by star of the film Jeremy Irvine's voice, things take a turn for the horrible fairly quickly in the short.

The first movie stared Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Kipps, main character of the first film. The second film follows a new set of characters, Eve and Jean, played by Phoebe Fox and Helen McCory respectively, who bring a troop of orphan children to the Eel Marsh house.

It doesn't take long before Eve realizes that this may not have been such a grand idea. The house starts showing its true colors quickly as the Eve begins to unravel the mystery of the home and hints that it may not have just been sheer luck that brought her to the stay there in the first place.

Woman in Black 2 comes out on January 2, 2015. Fans can watch the motion comic below to get a taste of what sort of horror awaits in the film.
