Attack on Titan: Season 2 Delays Push Anime Release Into 2016 [VIDEO]

Attack on Titan Won’t See A Second Season Until 2016 Or Later

Do you love Attack on Titan? Of course you do, it's amazing. If you were hoping you were going to see season 2 in 2015, we've got some bad news for you. The sophomore season of the hit show won't be making an appearance until sometime in 2016.

Attack on Titan: The Real is the Park Attraction You Never Knew You Wanted

This isn't just for the English version, this is the show in its entirety. Breathecast reported that the information was given out during the premiere of Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow. The news was leaked by the voice actors for the popular anime and confirmed by the director.

The delay could be in part to waiting for the manga to complete a story arc which would give the animators a full story to work with little to no filler.

The news is even worse for fans looking forward to a dubbed version of the anime. It took a year between when the anime was released in Japan and when the dubbed version was available. Meaning that fans who rather not read their TV shows could be waiting until 2017 before finally seeing a season 2.

Ouch.

However, there's a ton of media surrounding the anime. Fans who just can't wait to know what happens can pick up the Manga which is up to 14 books. The first season was based on the first seven books. There are also a few animated films and light novels.

In 2015 the live action Attack on Titan film will also be released. So there's that at least.

Attack on Titan is a fantasy anime that follows Eren and his friends as they attempt to survive the constant assault of giant human eating monsters.
