Kriophobia Kickstarter: New Survival Horror Game Borrows From Comic Aesthetic, Offers Free Demo [VIDEO]

Kriophobia Hopes To Put The Horror Back In Survival Horror

Survival horror is a genre that has a lot of variety inside of its title. It could mean sneaking through towns abandoned by its residents and inhabited solely by evil. It could also mean blasting Eldritch horrors to bits in space. Kriophobia is hoping to bring a new twist to the genre. You can try it out for yourself in the free demo.

Kriophobia is currently being crowdfunded with just a little bit of time left on its counter. If you're looking for something to do today, you can test out the demo to give developers. Fira Soft, your feedback.

The game itself takes place in northern Russia, which as we all know, is the only place that true horror exists anymore. The main character, Anna, has some personal issues. She slips, trips and stumbles into a sealed military complex where she has to figure out how to make it out.

There's terror locked in there with her. You can bet on it.

What really makes this game interesting is its art style. It has a comic book look to it. Not some Frank Miller gritty Sin City look. Not highly stylized. Just an actual normal comic book. Not the kind of look you would expect for the genre.

You can download the short demo from their Kickstarter page. The game has been Greenlit by the Steam Community and they have less than a day to meet their goal but who knows, miracles happen. Check out the demo on the website
