Season 5 will air on April 12, as HBO just announced via Twitter. Your favorite characters and locations in Westeros and beyond were always likely to return in the spring, but now we now exactly when to expect the first episode.

We learned last month that filming had just wrapped on the season, preparing us for a long wait until the premiere. Three months will no doubt go by very quickly. Silicon Valley, which debuted last year and always aired after Game of Thrones episodes, will also be returning on April 12. Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy Veep will also return on that date.
