The Legend Of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D Details: Bomber's Notebook Getting A Major Upgrade For 3DS Remake

New Majora's Mask 3D Details Emerge, New Bomber's Notebook Will Help Guide Players To Hidden Secrets

I would not be surprised if we one day learned that the great majority of players out there only experience but a sliver of the content the developer’s put into each and every game. We’re all so busy trying to get through this title because there are a dozen more waiting for us that we never get to experience the entirety of a game.

Legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto recognizes this and wants us to behold every wonder that a game possesses. He thinks the upcoming port of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the 3DS is an excellent place to begin, and as such the team is revamping the Bomber’s Notebook from the original N64 classic.

The Bomber's Notebook is a sort of quest tracker for various NPCs across the world. You could go back in time and ensure that they make a certain appointment, meet someone, etc., and are rewarded with a several different stickers or seals. Though not strictly necessary to complete the main narrative, the notebook offered up several fun side-adventures and hidden events that could aid you in your quest.

The notebook will utilize the dual-screen nature of the 3DS, making it even easier to access and acting like an “electronic notebook.”

“We were told by Mr. Miyamoto that he felt there were a lot of users who finished the original without even noticing all the hidden events scattered around the town," said series producer Eiji Aonuma to UK magazine GamesMaster. "He said that he wanted us to make sure users were more aware of them this time around.”

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is out on 3DS systems this spring.
