New Marvel Star Wars #1 Featurette Shows Creators Discussing Ongoing Series [VIDEO]

New Featurette Shares Insight To New Star Wars Comic

Marvel has released Star Wars #1, a brand new ongoing series. To help fans learn more about it, Marvel has shared a featurette to help fans get caught up to the comic.

First Issue Of New Marvel Star Wars Comic Is Now Available

The featurette explains that the comic picks up right after the destruction of the first Death Star. After blowing the giant space station up, the team is hoping to make their next move against the Empire while the iron is hot, so to speak.

The creators touch on the relevancy of the story as well. Given the timeline, it seems like it would be easy to skip the comics, because after all, the film came out in 1977 with and already has two sequels that continue the story. The books follow the cast from the movies and reading the comic is like watching the movies.

On The Return To Marvel, Massive Amounts Of Star Wars Collections Have Been Released

There are always slight differences between books and movies though, spaces where scenes can be stretched out and better explained.

Axel Alonso, Editor-in-Chief, Jason Aaron, writer, and Jordan D. White, Editor all chime in with their thoughts on the new series as well as what it was like to work with such a long running and well-loved property.

Star Wars #1 is now currently available in comic book stores and on Marvel.com. You can watch the full video below.
