Scream Queens News: Fox Announces New Cast For Ryan's Murphy's Upcoming Horror Anthology Show

Screen Queens Gets Some Fresh Meat Added To Its Lineup

Some fresh meat has been added to the lineup for the upcoming anthology horror show, Scream Queens. Created by the team that brought us American Horror Story, it's already certain to feature a star-studded cast who are no strangers to the world of horror.

Season Five Of American Horror Story May See A Return To Modern Time

Fox has announced today that joining horror veteran Jamie Lee Curtis and American Horror Story alumni Emma Roberts would be Joe Manganiello. He's most known for portraying the hunky werewolf Alcide in True Blood.

Abigail Breslin, formally of Zombieland, and Keke Palmer from Akeelah and the Bee will also be joining the cast line up.

Not much is known about the new show as of yet other than its setting.

This new show will center around a college campus that is having a little bit of trouble with a rash of murders on campus. The series will premiere on FOX and 15 hour-long episodes have been ordered.

The show will begin production in the spring and is expected to air during the fall of this year.

This is a new show from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan. The name and first setting indicates that this series will play on horror movie tropes in much the same way that American Horror Story uses American urban legends to create its seasons.

Scream Queens will be a sort of horror comedy so expect something closer to B movie horror than the moody and thoughtful themes that are featured in American Horror Story.

Until Scream Queens premieres, fans can enjoy American Horror Story on FX.
