EA Extended Battlefield Hardline's Beta To Today, More Than 6 Million Have Played

The Battlefield Hardline beta was originally set to end yesterday, but Visceral Games and EA have continuted the trial period into tonight.

The publisher has also announced that more than 6 million players have tried the beta, rocketing up even further from the record-breaking 5 million users reported yesterday. The developers are grateful for the feedback, and ensure you that it will be applied to the game:

"There's been a ton of action through the weekend on the Battlefield Hardline beta and we're thrilled that now more than six million of you have gotten your hands on the game. We appreciate the response and feedback we have gotten from you in the forums, on social media and while playing with you online.

"Now, I know what you're asking yourself. We're just five weeks away from the launch ofBattlefield Hardline, how could we possibly be acting on that feedback? Well, I can assure you we are. In fact, we've already been prioritizing changes for things fans are talking about. So you've still got a chance to be heard. The beta will end Monday night, February 9 Pacific Time."

Battlefield Hardline takes the traditional military setup of the series and turns it into a cops vs robbers shooter, with a variety if objective-based game modes offering different style of gameplay. There's the one-sided capture the flag mode Heist, a mode about stealing and controlling vehicles (Hotwire), and a standard point-control and deathmatch mode Conquest. The game will launch on March 17 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
