Wargaming Announces World Of Tanks Xbox One Edition, Featuring Cross Platform Play For 360 Players [TRAILER]

World Of Tanks Storms The Beaches Onto Xbox One With Thrilling Announcement Trailer

Wargaming, not content with destroying over 57 million tanks on last gen consoles (to say nothing of the amount of havoc wreaked on both PC and mobile platforms), is looking towards the future: the company has just announced World of Tanks Xbox One Edition.

Same epic tank combat. Brand new visuals. World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition is already a great looking game that handles really, really well. The Xbox One Edition might sunder the world.

Both versions of the artillery sim will feature cross platform play and operate via the same servers, so Xbox Live Gold members can log onto either edition and continue playing, no transferring of files required.

So. Many. Amiibos! Nintendo Sells Nearly 6 Million In First Two Months Of Release

World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition has been wildly successful, with millions of downloads in nearly every major country around the world. I'd ask 'who knew tank combat could be so fun?' but that's rather a silly question: everyone already knows that.

No release date has been set for the new version as of yet.

Wargaming hopes to expand the brand into different markets this year, with the announcement of World of Tanks Generals, a new CCG strategy game due out for both PC and mobile. And the still in beta World of Warships, their naval battle sim, should be hitting PC later in 2015 as well. We also hope that a World of Warplanes Xbox 360 Edition might be in order sometime in the future.

Now, how about some love for the PlayStation fans out there?

The company puts out some great trailers. The announcement for World of Tanks Xbox One Edition is no exception. Watch it below!
