Skyrim Dawnguard DLC: Dragon Shouts, Weapons, and Vampires on Release

Xbox Skyrim players will have first dibs on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC called Dawnguard next week.  The latest expansion will feature new Dragonbone weapons, ability to choose loyalty between humans and vampires, along with new enemies and horseback combat.

Dawnguard is the first add-on in the Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim, and players will be first  asked to join the vampire hunters called Dawnguard or accept the Vampire Lord  Hakron's invitation to become a vampire and take out the sun.  Joining the Dawngaurd will grant players with a new crossbow, which offers more power but slower reloading time.

Joining the vampires will grant other abilities such as Supernatural Reflexes, speed, and paralyzing foes with magic.  As a vampire, players will have the opportunity to use blood potions and battle tougher creatures using vampire powers.

Other features on the expansion DLC includes the ability to customize Dragonbone weapons. By collecting Dragonbone resources throughout the player's journey, weapons such as swords, bows, and daggers may be crafted.  Some of these include a Dragonbone Mace, Dragonbone Greatsword, Dragonbone Battleaxe, Dragonbone Dagger, and Dragonbone Bow.  The latter two can inflict the highest damage while the Dragonbone Battleaxe has the highest value.

Players now have the chance to do combat while riding on hosrseback using a variety of weapons, though spells won't work.  Players can also learn new Dragon shouts and access over 200 Kinect Patch for voice commands. The Kinect Patch will also support voice commands of dragon shouts and other spells. Learn the new shouts and players have an opportunity o summon the undead dragon Dumehviir.

To make battles more interesting, the new DLC introduces a lineup of new enemies such as Bonemen, Boneyard Keepers, Death Hounds, Wrathmen, Trolls, and Gargoyles.  Werewolves will also be part of the new pack.  A "Werewolf Skill Tree" will include perks such as Savage Feeding, Totem of the Moon, Animal Vigor,  and much more.

The new Skyrim expansion will be available first on Xbox 360  on June 26th.
