The time has come, the walrus said, to talk of many things. Of shoes of ships, of ceiling wax, of 3DS new things. It's a brand new Thursday, and that can mean only two things: it's almost Friday, and Nintendo has released its eShop and Virtual console weekly update!

Mario Kart 8 New DLC Track List Revealed, And Yes, Baby Park Is Coming

What does the House of Mario have for us this week?

The big title on sale is Donkey Kong 64 for the Wii U Virtual Console. The classic game from one of company's best systems combines everything you've love about the be-tied gorilla and his merry band of misfits as they jump across their home in search of K. Rool. "Hunt for collectibles and play wacky minigames while solo, or duke it out in battle arenas with friends in a four-player split-screen view. There's enough fun to go around to make you go...bananas!"

This Proto Man Statue Will Make An Excellent Christmas Gift Later This Year

We'd be remiss if we did not tell you that Super Smash Bros for both Wii U and 3DS are getting a major mandatory update today. So be wary. After the update has been installed, players can also purchase more costumes for their Mii Fighters, including ones inspired by Mega Man X and Proto Man from Capcom's Mega Man series. You can check out more details here.

3DS players who fire up their system will find that two new StreetPass Plaza games have been added. Battleground Z has you and your new best friends fighting off hordes of zombies, while Ultimate Angler provides a slightly more relaxing activity and let's you catch fish and monsters. Okay, so it's not that relaxing. You can purchase one for $4.99, or both for $7.99. You can also unlock the new StreetPass Plaza update for $4.99 which unlocks a few new rooms to explore, including the StreetPass Birthdays and a Mii character VIP Room.

3D Fantasy Zone II W - a newly remastered version of the 1987 Master System title brings Opa Opa, the living spaceship, to the handheld system with stereoscopic visuals and a new endless side-scrolling mode, adjustable difficulty settings, the ability to save replays for later viewing, a Stage Select feature that allows players to save and resume progress mid-game, and adjustable difficulty settings. $5.99

Also out on the 3DS is the puzzle title DOOORS, a sort of mini-game title in which you, intrepid hero, are stuck in some sort of post-modern art horror with a seemingly neverending amount of doors to solve. The family friendly version of the film Cube. $4.99.

Voting has begun for Mega May, a celebration of all things Mega Man! "During the entire month of May, Nintendo and Capcom are celebrating our favorite blue bomber, Mega Man, with six game releases on the Virtual Console service for Wii U. The Game Boy Advance versions of Mega Man Zero 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue, Mega Man Battle Network 3 White, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun, Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon and Mega Man & Bass will land on the Nintendo eShop throughout the month. Click here to vote for the first game of Mega May, which will release May 7. Voting is open until 11:59 p.m. PT on April 29."

Also out this week:

Pazuru - 3DS - another minimalist puzzle collection game in which reflexes are as valued as critical thinking. Plus, you can make your own and share them with the world via QR code. $5.99

A-Train 3D: City Simulator - 3DS - you know what's fun? Monthly stock reports. And if you actually think that's true, then this management game may be just for you. Build transportation lines to help grow your city into a world class metropolis, or suffer at the hands of that enemy of all things: the board of directors. $29.99.

We'll see you next week!
