'Batman Arkham Knight' Season Pass Will Cost You $40, Premium Editon Is $100

Warner Bros. Interactive has today announced pre-order availability for the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and the Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition.

'Just Cause 3' Gameplay Trailer Is As Awesome, Explosion-Filled As You'd Hope

Both of them will cost you a pretty penny, with the Season Pass priced at $39.99. The Premium Edition, which simply contains the main game and the Season Pass, will cost you $99.99. There is no discount for purchasing the Premium Edition compared to the game and DLC pass separately, they're just packaged together for those who want both from the outset.

To have Warner Bros. tell it, the Season Pass will add "regular new content for six months post-launch". It vaguely describes these as new story missions, additional villains, Batmobile and character skins, challenge maps, and race tracks.

There is no specification on what those will be, how much content there is, or when the DLC will release, so keep that in mind before you throw $40 at the publisher. This certainly is not the first game to use this practice, but be wary about assuming the content will be worth your money before you really even know what it is. Paying up front will continue to keep that system afloat, and (there's no guarantee this is the case for this game) that can lead to predatory consumer practice. Spend wisely!
