Mobile Game Developer DeNA West Sees Nintendo Mobile Games Drawing At Least 150 To 200 Million Gamers

Mobile Game Developer DeNA West Sees Nintendo Mobile Games Drawing At Least 150 To 200 Million Gamers

Mobile games developer, DeNA West's CEO Shintaro Asako, is really confident that Nintendo's mobile games will at least book 150 to 200 million people regardless if it's paid or free. According to an interview, Asako projected the numbers because of the volume of Nintendo fans who are used to spending $150 to $200 in a game or at least to at least try the game's content.

He went on to project the numbers that out of that volume, only 10% will move on to play the game and at least pay $3 a month which will generate at least $60 million a month of subscription.

Asako also added that Nintendo will definitely pour in tons amount of money to advertise the games and there is actually no need for further evaluations (marketing side) because of the fact that the Nintendo brand is so strong , and the fact that Nintendo fans has been clamoring for this specific news for years.

On the other side of the fence, although Asako's positive outlook looks contagious, the numbers based on mobile developers such as Zynga, Rovio, King, and DeNA should be taken into consideration as well. Although the mentioned mobile games developers started strong, they are currently facing a downward trend in sales, and might serve as the biggest road block for Asako's claim.

In related news, with the recent partnership of Nintendo and popular brand Pokémon, it is expected for the iconic brands to elevate the playing field, with regards to the mobile game arena. Nintendo has recently announced that they will be releasing the Pokémon Go, a mobile game that will shape the future of mobile games.

Pokémon Go will bring the world famous cartoon/game into reality by offering a new brand of gameplay through merging the real world and the game itself. The newest Pokémon game will make use famous landmarks or basically the real world to play the game.
