'Titanfall 2' Single-Player Release Confirmed, Gameplay Details, New Kung-Fu Titans [Watch Trailer]

“Titanfall 2” was revealed to be in the works, after details were inadvertently presented when EA published a rehearsal for its pre-E3 show on the internet. After the leak, EA and Respawn Entertainment provided an official version of the game trailer.

Previously, the release date and gameplay of “Titanfall 2” were accidentally shown. The video has since been withdrawn, although its archives are still available online.

Devin Bennett of EA announced that the upcoming game will feature a full single-player campaign, and will be playable offline. Bennett explained that the single-player mode of “Titanfall 2” was created to delve deeper into the game universe. The campaign will particularly look into the special relationship between Pilot and Titan, as well as utilize the combat and movement thoroughly, giving players the feeling of being unstoppable.

GameSpot noted that in the game trailer, the AI for one Titan stated that its original Pilot was killed in combat and that it will be connected to a new Pilot. The video also featured a new villain that looks like a reptile, as well as new Titans with special abilities. One Titan was spotted using a Gatling gun and Kung-Fu techniques to destroy its opponent.

One scene featured players getting into the Titan cockpit and immediately heading to battle. One Titan tackled an enemy robot. There were also scenes of human soldiers in combat and spider-like droids on the attack. There will expectedly be new pilot abilities, bigger maps and unique weapons and accessories.

The Verge reported that the grappling hook in “Titanfall 2” was one of the best additions, giving players both speed and verticality. Gamers who did not spend as much time playing the game can catch up with experts, since using the hook does not require a lot of skill. With the new accessory, players can easily transfer from one Titan to another.

The official “Titanfall 2” trailer revealed the release date on Oct. 28, 2016. The game will reportedly be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. More details on the gameplay, weapons and characters will also be featured at EA Play by the game publisher.

The first “Titanfall” released in 2014 and received positive reviews from gamers and critics. Some were quick to point out that the original game did not include a single-player campaign mode. Its addition in “Titanfall 2” is the game developer’s response to previous player requests.
