NBA Free Agency Rumors 2016: LeBron James Now Considers Pursuing Hollywood? [POLL]

The Cleveland Cavaliers finally got a taste of NBA gold, thanks mainly to LeBron James who came out with a scintillating performance at the Oracle Arena. The Cavs defeated the Golden State Warriors in what was the lone nail-biter of the series, details of which you can read here.

Though Lebron James and the rest of the Cavs are whooping it up with their historic achievement, the next order of business will be NBA Free Agency. Majority of players who have a player option are expected to ask out of their current deals, James included.

Will Lebron James return to Cleveland?

Last month, GnG touched on an angle that could see James opting out and returning to South Beach. That piece focused on how James would fulfill his promise – that of which was an NBA title – and possibly return to the Miami Heat per inputs by ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith.

James is believed to retain close ties with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh so a reunion could happen. But more to that James would love to team up as well with Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul if there was a chance of that happening.

With most of them opting out, could a restructured contract pave the way for such? If so, which team could pull it off?

New Stars in Hollywood?

Looking at the NBA teams who could host James and his buddies with fat salaries, the Los Angeles Lakers could be one of them. The Lakers are in the rebuilding stages (again) and are filled with young players that could be dispensable.

Dispensable in the sense that the Lakers could trade them all away and inject the likes of James or even Paul and Anthony to instantly come up with a super team donning the purple and gold. But would James be amenable to such a move?

The Lakers are big spenders and they have proven that in the past. If there is a team that can pull it off, the Lakers are it. But right now, the Lakers are theoretically just up there to make a pitch, nothing more as mentioned by the Bleacher Report.

The Cavs obviously have the first crack then followed by the Heat. Can the Lakers be among the teams’ in play? Brace yourself for a wild 2016 NBA Free Agency where players will be getting new lucrative deals.
