Best DC Teams Who Need Their Own Movies

With the upcoming "Suicide Squad" and "Justice League" movies coming out for the DC Cinematic Universe, fans of the DC universe have themselves wondering which of the other superhero teams could potentially get their own film in the future.

Teen Titans

The Teen Titans are currently the most popular superhero team in the DC universe that is not named the Justice League. This is mainly due to the two popular cartoon series based around the group "Teen Titans" and "Teen Titans Go!"

The group is lead by long time Batman sidekick Robin, the Tim Drake version, who is accompanied by several other teenage superheroes Beast Boy / Changeling, Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire. The roster has shrunk and grown over the years but these five are the core group.

The series proved so popular that Cyborg has had his past drastically changed in the DC Universe to the point where he is now one of the major players for the Justice League and will appear in the Justice League movie. If Teen Titans were to made into a movie then it would have to be minus Cyborg, perhaps Superboy could be called into replace him? That would not be too bad at all. Plus Deathstroke is one of their major villains which will surely spice things up.

Legion of Superheroes

Another popular team made mostly of teenagers to young adults, but the twist is that the setting for this comic is set in the 31st century. This could give movie goers a close look at what the future will bring in the DC Cinematic Universe.

The Legion of Superheroes boasts one of the largest team rosters in the DC Universe. However, their core team is led by Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Bouncy Boy, Lighting Lad, and Brainiac 5. A brief look into the 31st Century of the DC Universe, Superman is dead, the Green Lantern Core is all but wiped out save for one member, and Earth is now home to millions of aliens as well as humans.

Doom Patrol

The story of the Doom Patrol is actually quite similar to that of the X-Men, who already have a movie franchise of their own. A well educated middle aged man in a wheelchair puts together a team of outcasts and misfits to protect a world who shuns them.

Well that is the story of the Doom Patrol, the team who once tagged as the world's strangest superhero team. While some say that this would be a direct copy of the X-Men, it should be noted that the Doom Patrol debuted a full three months before the first issue of the X-Men way back in 1963.
