‘The Division' Update: Ubisoft Shuts Down Game Ahead of ‘Underground’ DLC Arrival

'The Division' Goes Offline In Preparation of the 'Underground' DLC

Ever noticed how Ubisoft constantly puts "The Division" offline every time they update the game? Now, it's Xbox One and PS4's time to experience Ubisoft offline starting 8am BST until 10 am BST. The move is to make way for the "Underground" DLC to be integrated on the consoles and players have two-hour wait time before they can proceed with the game.

In an announcement made by the Ubisoft team, it said "There will be no game changes during this maintenance, however it will be used for server optimisations and to clean up the databases. The servers will shut down for maintenance on Thursday, June 23 at 09:00 AM CEST / 03:00 AM EDT / 00:00 AM PDT. Estimated downtime is approximately 2 hours."

According to the EXPRESS UK, while there seems to be no major changes expected of the game, the habitual weekly update of Ubisoft makes "The Division" even more exemplary. Although the "Underground" DLC will not arrive until the 28th of June, it feels like everybody's hyped up with Patch 1.3 for Xbox One and PC. Also, it is worth noting that the "Underground" DLC will arrive at a later date for PS4 owners and may not able to get a first hand experience on the DLC until the 28th of August.

The "Underground" DLC will significantly deliver weapon balancing to the game, as well as some new Gear Sets that players can take advantage off. Attack of the Fanboy also posted some significant information on the new DLC, citing some features found on a video that showed the Underground DLC.

  • Focused: When no skills are on cooldown, your weapon damage is increased by 12.50%

  • Decisive: Killing a target will make your next shot with the weapon be an automatic critical hit.

  • Distracted: Your damage is increased by 100% against blind/deaf targets

By staying patient with the upcoming "The Division" maintenance, you're also giving way to a better gaming experience via the new DLC coming on the Xbox One, PC and PS4 platforms.
