‘Beetlejuice 2’ Update: See The Latest News And Development In The Creation Of The Sequel

Should We Expect 'Beetlejuice 2' Soon?

It's a long hiatus for the movie "Beetlejuice" and things couldn't get more exciting when a year ago, director Tim Burton shared his thoughts about the "decades" old movie. In his interview featured in ComingSoon, he said "It's a character that I love and I miss and I miss actually working with Michael. There's only one Betelgeuse.  We're working on a script and I think it's probably closer than ever and I'd love to work with him again."

If that's any indication that somehow, they're considering making "Beetlejuice 2" in the future, it's a straight giveaway that they are not absolutely turning down a sequel. According to CinemaBlend, when Burton did the interview, he also expressed his eagerness to work with Michael Keaton again. Burton, while he was promoting "Big Eyes" implied that things are a bit positive in terms of considering making "Beetlejuice 2." Unfortunately, no other details were given as to when it will start its production. Also, according to the website, it was during the first quarter of 2015 that Tim Burton and Michael Keaton get to meet in order to discuss the possible creation of "Beetlejuice 2." Interestingly, Winona Ryder has previously expressed her interest in doing the movie again.

In 2011, a subtle dealing with Beetlejuice 2 came up when Warner Bros. hired David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith to work on the movies' script. Since then, news about the upcoming Beetlejuice 2 stayed away from the limelight.

Tim Burton's latest project is "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar" also slated to have a release date of March 2016. That being said, the idea of Burton working on Beetlejuice 2 now seem like a viable idea.
