iPhone 7 Release Date, News & Update: Clearest Photo Ever Leaked! New Specs, Features Confirmed?

There have been plenty of rumors and speculation about the iPhone 7, but a new photo of the Apple flagship has leaked that has confirmed plenty about its design, and has shed some light on other features as well.

Earlier this morning, on the French website nowhereelse.fr, a very clear photograph of the iPhone 7 was leaked. The photo shows a frame very similar to that of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, but with certain design tweaks.

First off, the new iPhone 7 has more prominent antenna bands that line its top and bottom edges, repositioned from the iPhone 6s in which they streaked across the back of the frame.

In addition, the camera of the iPhone 7 is much larger than that of previous iPhones, though it appears to confirm that there won't be a dual-lens camera coming to the smaller iteration of the iPhone series.

The photo does not show the bottom edge of the iPhone 7, and so we still have no solid details on whether Apple will be going for stereo speakers, or whether they will be removing the headphone jack as so many rumors have suggested. It also doesn't offer a look at the front of the phone.

The leaked iPhone 7 photo does not confirm any more features other than those. Other expected features include a 32GB base model, better waterproofing and dustproofing, the latest A10 processor, and a faster radio for LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The iPhone 7's larger sibling, the iPhone 7 Plus, is rumored to have a dual-lens camera, as well as the potential for 256GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. Apple supposedly has plans for a glass body and an OLED display among other radical redesigns, but these might not come until the tenth-anniversary release next year.

The iPhone 7 is expected to be released in Sept. 2017, keeping in line with past iPhone releases.
